Carl Rennick
Carl Rennick was raised in Orangeville, Ontario and completed his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at Queens University in Kingston. After graduating in 1972, he joined the Industrial Services Division of Westinghouse Canada in Hamilton, Ontario and in 1976 he began his management career with Westinghouse Canada in Windsor, Ontario. He subsequently took on other management roles with Westinghouse Canada, TME Delta Inc. and finished his working career with Ainsworth Inc. in Toronto. His experiences included Operational Management, Sales and Marketing, Financial Management, and Corporate Business Development.
During his tenure in Sarnia, Ontario he served as the Board Chair for a Group K Hospital for physically disabled children ages birth thru 16. The services provided ranged from a pre-school program and audiology, to occupational and physio therapy. The facility came under three Ministries of the Provincial Government—Health, Education and Community and Social Services.
In the various cities Carl lived in, he took an active role in the local Chambers of Commerce and the Local Industrial Development Organizations as well as Community Service while being a Rotarian for some 20 years.
Carl and his wife, Lynda, bought a home in The Kawarthas in 2001 and retired here in 2005. They have two grown daughters and four grandchildren that reside in South Eastern Ontario.
Since retiring, Carl has taken up riding motorcycles, playing the trumpet, and some fishing. He also is a Paralympic Athlete Coach in the sport of Wheelchair Curling and has worked with Paralympic Athletes for the past 14 years.
